ABOUT US
Background
Thulaganyo Secondary School is situated in the rural area of Winterveldt in Pretoria (GAUTENG PROVINCE). It has an enrolment of 1126 learners (grades 7,8 and 9 collectively).
The school is located in an under-privileged community. Most parents are unemployed (relying on grants), are addicts, and many have passed away. As a result, there is a lack of parental support to monitor and motivate the learning of the learners. Most families are child-headed with extreme socio-economic challenges, and this makes poverty extremely high. The national nutrition programme is a small heaven for most of the learners.
Our Moto
Our school motto is “Light in the darkness” and we believe that through this awards ceremony the light will turn,
and our learners will be able to attain their bright future. Our learners are special and destined for greater things.
Our vision is to develop and produce learners who will be able to adapt to changes and compete with excellence in the entire world. We pride ourselves in embracing and celebrating excellence in different activities i.e. (co-curricular- activities and extracurricular activities). As a school, we hold awards ceremonies annually. We therefore humbly request any kind of donation that will be suitable for this kind of event.
