Important: JCP Communication Policy
Dear JCP Students,
Please note that all emails and queries regarding JCP must be submitted via the official Contact Us form on our website:
Any communication sent through other channels will not be responded to. Additionally, please be aware that repeated use of incorrect communication channels may result in negative hours being allocated, as we operate as a company and unnecessary email traffic impacts our ability to effectively communicate with our funders and partners.
Furthermore, under no circumstances should any team member be contacted via phone. Any such attempts will also result in negative hours being assigned.
Thank you for your cooperation, and have a fantastic Easter.
Kind Regards
KTG
NB: Session 1 Events Date Change + Bookings Close Monday 7AM
Dear KTG Students,
We hope you are well.
Please note that there has been a change to the Session 1 Events schedule. The originally planned date of 4th April 2026 for the second event (in Session 1) was during the Easter weekend, and the schools had concerns about learners not attending on that day. As a result, we have adjusted the schedule by removing the 4th of April event AND adding an event on the 25th of April 2026.
The updated Session 1 Event dates are now:
- Saturday, 28th March 2026
- Saturday, 11th April 2026
- Saturday, 18th April 2026
- Saturday, 25th April 2026
If these updated dates no longer work for you, you are welcome to cancel your booking and apply for a different session of events instead.
Alternatively, if this change now works better for your schedule, you may also cancel your previous session booking and book for this events session.
NB: You can book for a maximum of ONE Session, so you will need to cancel any existing bookings before booking for a new Events Session.
Tip:
You can manage your bookings using the link at the bottom of any booking confirmation emails, OR by requesting an access link here using the email address you used to book for an events session.
Can’t find your booking confirmation email?
You can also use the request access link here to check existing bookings even if you did not get an email confirmation (although this is most likely due to your entering an incorrect email address when making the booking). If you booked with an invalid or incorrect email address, please email support@keepthatgoldshining.org for assistance.
IMPORTANT: Bookings will close on Monday, 9th March at 7 AM.
Thank you for your understanding, and we appreciate your flexibility.
Warm Regards
The KTG Team
📢 KTG Student Announcement
Dear KTG Students,
Please read and understand the important information below.
1. Booking of 4-Week Sessions
On the morning of Monday, 2nd March, the “Book Events” button on the website will become available on your program page.
You will have one week to book the four-day sessions (four consecutive Saturdays) you wish to be part of.
Please note:
- It is recommended, but not compulsory, to book the same session as your team members.
- Bookings operate on a first-come, first-served basis. Exceptions will not be made for you to be with your team members if you book late and the spaces fill up.
- If you fail to book before the closing deadline, you will be randomly assigned to a session.
Please make sure you book on time to avoid disappointment.
2. Communication Platform Change
Due to changes in Telegram’s terms of service, such as introducing charges in South Africa, we will be moving all informal communications to Signal.
You can find the relevant Signal groups on the website (on your assigned program page).
Please join the necessary Signal groups as soon as possible.
3. Project Proposal Signatures
We have a long-standing agreement with JCP due to the volume of students (950+).
Your project proposals do NOT need to be signed by us.
Simply write “KTG” in the signature box.
Please do not email us regarding this matter. Emails relating to this will be ignored.

Important Update on Informal Communication Platforms
Hi everyone 👋
We’d like to let you know about a change to our informal communication channels.
Due to recent changes in South Africa around Telegram’s platform model, including the introduction of paid subscription requirements and increasing limitations on free access, we’ve decided that Telegram is no longer a reliable or accessible option for all KTG students. We want to make sure that no learner is excluded from communication because of data costs, subscriptions, or platform restrictions.
As a result, KTG will no longer be using Telegram as an informal communication platform.
We are currently exploring alternative platforms that are:
- Free and accessible to all students
- Easy to use and privacy-driven
- More reliable in the long term
We’ll keep you updated as soon as a new informal platform is finalised.
👉 For now — and for the rest of the year — all important and official communication will continue to be sent via email.
Please make sure you are checking your email regularly, as this remains our formal and primary communication channel.
Thank you for your understanding, and we appreciate your patience while we make this transition.
Warm regards,
The KTG Team 💛
Welcome to the KTG Family!
Dear 2026 JCP Students,
Welcome to KTG! We’re excited to have you on board for this journey of impactful community engagement. Before we get started, there are a few important things to note:
- KTG has almost 1000 JCP students:
We pride ourselves on providing clear communication and making JCP as easy as possible for all our students. Please avoid contacting us if it is not necessary, as our team cannot handle 1000 individual emails. If you do NEED to contact us, please use the contact page on OUR JCP website. - Mandatory Community Partner Talk – Friday, 6 February
You are required to attend the community partner talk on Friday, 6 February at 10h30, in the AULA Auditorium. - How KTG is Different:
Unlike other projects, KTG not only focuses on planning but also manages the finances. This makes your work as JCP students easier while maximising the impact of your projects.
Preliminary Project Guides: Here is the link to the KTG JCP website. Under your project, you will find the preliminary Project Guide with information about how the project will run. These guides will be finalised soon, but you can already use them to draft your project proposals, timelines, and budgets during JCP week. - Budgets:
While KTG handles all finances directly, you are still required to submit a budget (this budget will not be used), and therefore, you can use the project guide to draft this budget. - Join the Telegram Group:
To stay updated and communicate efficiently, please join the KTG Telegram groups. The links for each project can be found on their program page.
Looking forward to seeing you all on Friday!
Once again, welcome to the KTG family. We can’t wait to start this journey with you and see the incredible impact we will make together.
Warmest regards,
The KTG Team
