On Saturday, the 12th of August, we hosted a Computer Literacy Event at Eqinisweni Secondary School in Ivory Park, Johannesburg. The event aimed to assist learners in improving their computer literacy skills needed in today’s digital world. Over 160 second-year university students joined us to pass their knowledge and experience in computing tasks onto the younger generation. These tasks included turning a computer on, navigating to different applications and system settings, creating email accounts, and protecting yourself from internet threats.
Additionally, an exchange of personal experiences about life in university aimed to inspire and motivate the learners by proving that what may feel impossible is not always unachievable.
This event was a remarkable success! It brought smiles to faces, instilled hope, and created a positive impact, making a truly memorable experience for everyone involved.
